-- The e-publication-focused agency, whose clients include ABC, Advance Publications and Hachette Filipacchi, will leverage VERSIFI's open architecture and reusable templates to create highly dynamic, easy-to-maintain e-publication sites. --

NEWPORT BEACH, September 27, 2000 - VERSIFI Inc., an Internet application company specializing in building easy-to-use, enterprise Java applications for managing dynamic Web content, has added Fusion Design (www.fusiondesign.com) to the ranks of its Channel Partner Program as a Solution Provider.

The cutting-edge agency, which specializes in design and content development for online publications, will employ VERSIFI software to create sites for appropriate clients, then empower non-technical users within their organizations to perform site maintenance.

This allows Fusion Design to help these clients expedite time to market, maintain total control of their IT assets and significantly reduce costs for e-publishers.

According to a recent Deloitte & Touche poll conducted by Yankelovich Partners, 91 percent of corporate executives say that electronic delivery will be their preferred source of news by 2005.

"Catering to this preference is fueling tremendous growth in the online publications arena," says Peter Mazurczyk, president of Fusion Design. "We plan to capitalize on this opportunity with our expertise as well as implementing cost-effective tools such as VERSIFI."

Based in Jersey City (NJ), Fusion Design focuses on the long-term success of its clients. It operates on a foundation of trust-driven relationships, innovation tailored to the needs of client business models, and technical guidance to provide client self-sufficiency.

The VERSIFI solution was appealing because it strengthens that foundation and enhances Fusion Design's marketplace value as a provider of dynamic solutions, according to Mazurczyk.

"VERSIFI is attractive in our space because of its industry-standard Java technology, reusable template feature and database-driven content that is delivered as components," says Mazurczyk. "In addition, it is extensible and it lets users maintain pages through any Web browser. These things make it easier for us to quickly build ever-changing Web sites, accommodate client systems and growth, and simplify the technical challenges our clients face."

VERSIFI will also reinforce Fusion Design's reputation as an end-to-end services provider as well as help preserve the integrity of the design structure it implements for Web sites.

"Our clients look to us to give them more than just another pretty site," says Mazurczyk. "A solution like VERSIFI increases our awareness of what's possible in creating dynamic sites, allowing us to continually recommend improvements. This shows our clients that we understand their business needs and builds trust that we're looking out for their best interests for the long haul."

In Fusion Design, VERSIFI gains a valuable ally in the online publishing world and an opportunity to showcase its technology on more sites in this arena.

VERSIFI has been chosen to power sites for industry leaders such as KIISFMi, Hachette Filipacchi and eClubOz.

"Recommendations by design-focused developers typically carry a lot of weight," says Tom Cherry, vice president of channel development for VERSIFI. "They have established relationships with customers and are betting their reputation on the products they recommend. We are thrilled to benefit from the formidable support that Fusion Design offers to help us extend our reach among dynamic publishing sites."
